Driving to work this morning. Running late. Not enough to worry about, but still.
Go to pass a slow-moving semi on the highway (four lane divided). Following other cars.
POW!
Semi throws a rock at my poor 6's windshield. There’s a tiny chip now. Going on lunch to have it repaired at a local auto glass shop. I don’t trust the flimsy do-it yourself kits on the shelf at Walmart.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had a rock or something hit my windshield, but it is the first time it left a visible chip. I certainly don’t want it to spread and lead me to have to have the windshield replaced on a 2016 car.
Pic for your time.
Just needed to rant.

Damn that blows. This is why I do everything I can to pass semis as quickly as possible, they are dangerous in more ways than one. My friend’s dad is a retired NY State Trooper and told us if you are ever next to or behind a semi get far ahead of it as quickly as possible.

That’s a bummer, a few weeks ago there was a giant flat bed semi with a bulldozer on it. I was coming up behind it in the next lane over on the highway and noticed little stones bouncing all over the road coming off the truck. I was already pretty close to it when i noticed so i accelerated pretty quickly to prevent from getting hit. Luckily i came out unscathed.
